In 1910 she was completed at Belfast NI, UK. The Cheslakee capsized on January 17, 1913 at the wharf at Vananda, BC with the loss of 7 passengers and crew. The incident didn't surprise many on the waterfront as she was considered top heavy. She was salvaged and rebuilt as a much more stable craft serving another 33 years on the BC coast.
